Sumatra rhinoceros is a rare species from Rhnicerotidae family and also one of five species rhino that is still exist. Sumatra Rhino is the only species that is still exist from Dicerorhinus genus. This rhino is the smallest rhino, but still belong to big primates animal. 

It has height about 120-145 cm ,the length is 250 cm and thw weight is around 500-800 kg. Like the African species it has 2 horns. The nose horn is much bigger, around 15-25 cm, the other horn is much smaller usually it length is 10 cm. The horn color is dark grey or black.The male has bigger horn than the female one. It can live for 30-45 years. It body is covered by layer of fat that protect the body from the hot sun. Just like other rhino, it vision is bad although it can clibe and cross the river with ease.

Sumatra Rhino live on mountain forest, swamp, and rain forest. It live on hill area that near from water ,specially in the valley top area with a lot of bush. Sumatra rhino spread widely ,further from other Asian rhino. There are 5 are that is known for the rhino to live there,there are: Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan, Taman Nasional Gunung Leuser, and Taman Nasional Way Kambas in Sumatera; In Kalimantan the place is located on Lembah Danum and Samarinda

Sumatera Rhino is a loner, except at breeding season and when raising it off spring. Male area can reach about 50 km and the female about 10-15 km. There isn't any evidence that prove the rhino fight for protecting it area. It sighing their are by scrathing their feet to the dirt or leaving a poop. It spend the day by wallowed by mud,and hunting in the morning and night.

Sumatera Rhino is a herbivore they eat leaves, fruits, ranch, and many more. It can eat until 50 kg in one day. It food is rich of fiber and protein.

The female reach it sexual maturity at 6-7 years old but the male is at 10 years old. The gestation periode happen about 15-16 month. The son weaned when it reached 15 years old and stay with it mother around 2-3 years. In the wild nature , this species birth interval is calculated around 4-5 years.

Around 100 species estimated in the nature. This species is at critic situation because of the illegal hunting and illegal logging. People mostly hunt for it horn, sumatera local people use it for charm, but many people use it for medicine.

the dream of mine

My name is Ilham Azka Ramadhan ,im 17 years old ,I was born on November 18th 2001 in Bandung. TENTANG SI SAYA

  Perkenalkan nama saya Ilham Azka Ramadhan biasa dipanggil Ilham. Aku lahir 18 November 2001 di Bandung. Sekarang aku berkuliah di ITB di fakultas FTSL. Aku anak paling besar dari tiga bersaudara.
